Club Projects

The Oregon City Woman's Club has a long history of giving back to the community. In the more than 116 years the club has been active the members have supported such programs as Doernbecher Children's Hospital; the Oregon City School District; medical research in areas such as Scleraderma, cancer and tuberculosis; eye exams and glasses for school children; Ronald McDonald House and many, many more.

Club members donate their time once a month filling bags for Backpack Buddies, providing food for elementary school children to take home for the weekend.

Each month a different local non-profit is the recipient of donations from members, including food, personal items, toys or pet food.

The club holds an annual presentation ceremony to distribute monetary donations to non-profits that address needs in our community and internationally. $8,000 was given out at the 2019 ceremony to the programs listed below.  These donations are funded by proceeds from the annual auction and other fund raisers throughout the year.

In 2019 OCWC gave their first two $1,000 scholarships from the club's scholarship fund.

The club also supports scholarship programs of the General Federation of Woman's Clubs, Oregon which provide provide financial aid to students in the fine arts and those who are survivors of domestic violence.
